The MQ-9 UAS has mer urgent combat operational needs through accelerated production and the rapid incorporation of emergent sensor and systems technologies. The Reaper’s capability to fire upon targets poses a significant challenge to American adversaries. The MQ-9 Reaper provides Marines with a long-range intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capability in support of expeditionary advanced based operations, littoral operations in contested environments, and maritime domain awareness. ![]() The MQ-9 can also be disassembled for transport, allowing for its potential usage and deployment worldwide. As part of the agreement, General Atomics will establish a Comprehensive Global. The Indian Navy will receive 15 of the Naval variant of the drone, while the remaining Reapers will be divided among the Army and the Air Force.
